The Ebony Fashion Fair Tour, began as a traveling runway show in 1958, featuring African American Models, that challenged the white-oriented perceptions of fashion, beauty and style. The tour emphasized the empowerment of black women across the nation. In its 51+ years, the Ebony Fashion Fair Tour, produced more than 20,000 shows and raised more than $50 million dollars for charitable organizations and HBCU colleges.
On behalf of the 500 models, crew and sponsors, we thank Mr. & Mrs. Johnson, for creating such an American legacy. This website is dedicated to celebrating the Ebony Fashion Fair Tour Legacy.
